VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

This 1971 Ford Maverick is in good running and driving condition, but with some bodywork, issue to note. It’s not a show car but decent, mechanically spot on project. The vehicle got a clean title, and the seller owned the car since November 2015. The vehicle is declared off the road since September 2016.

The sellers hold all the receipts for undertaken work and upgrades. Over $7000.00 been invested into the engine and transmission, those works been documented by a local magazine, also they are the strongest points of the vehicle. The rebuild took place over a year ago.
The engine bay is in decent condition with no signs of rust.

The wipers are in working order. The windshield washers do not work. The hood, doors, fenders, and trunk lid are all slightly misaligned. The paint is aged, faded, and dull. The car has been repainted previously in blue. The biggest issue is the rusted trunk (a split structure, see picture), roof and rusted spots around the windshield and rear window. The body seals around the windows are showing signs of age and wear. This includes the doors, windows, trunk, and other miscellaneous body seals. They will need a replacement. The underside shows areas of minor surface rust; however, it’s been undersealed at some point. See pictures. The driver front side marker light is missing as well as rear driver side marker (taped area). All gauges and lights in working order. Checked vehicle with a magnet and found it to stick all around but was weaker in the lower panels. Not excessive.

The front seats are replaced with bucket version, and they are in good condition. The rear bench seat is cracked with the foam already out. There is no vents, heater or A/C, those been removed. The interior trim shows normal wear for the age. The excellent condition of the carpet and headliner. Front disc brakes with a booster and no power steering. The car is missing the rear shelf. The transmission shifts well. No slipping or harsh engagement noted. The engine had plenty of power, and there were no misfires or excessive smoking. The steering was responsive, and the suspension was firm, and the vehicle handled well. There were no abnormal vibrations or odd noises. The brakes were firm with no pulsation felt. There were no leaks found to the underside of the vehicle.
