A collectors dream! This 1973 Chevrolet Corvette is finished in Mille Miglia Red over a black leather interior and is powered by a matching number 454ci LS4 V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission.
1973 was the only year Chevrolet put the rubber front bumper on with a chrome rear bumper. This ‘Vette is one very quick car that will pin you to your seat. This Corvette Stingray has the following options: factory Air conditioning, AM/FM radio, removable body-colour T-top panels, power disc brakes, power steering, power windows, Tilt-Wheel, seat belts, leather interior, Radial Tires, Aluminum Alloy Wheels, pop-up headlights, a rear luggage rack, driver side mirror and dual exhaust outlets.
Being a true survivor California car this Chevy is a completely rust-free example with only two owners since new and remains within same hands since 1989! (this can be proven by the title issue date).
Refurbishment work performed in 1995 included a repaint, replacement suspension components, a reupholstered cabin, and more. This C3 Corvette is now offered by XVC Motors in Hull with factory literature, extensive service records, spare parts, and a clean California title.
Factory finished in Yellow Metallic, the car was repainted once through its history in 1995.
Aftermarket 15″ aluminium wheels wear 225/70 Uniroyal Tiger Paw GTS tires. The rear transverse leaf spring was recently replaced with a composite spring.
The cabin features black leather bucket seats that were reupholstered by Coast Corvette of Anaheim, California, in 1995. Interior amenities include wood veneer accents on the doors and console, air conditioning, power windows, and an AM/FM radio.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. Additional centrally-mounted instrumentation includes a clock and gauges for fuel level, water temperature, oil pressure, and battery. The five-digit odometer has rolled over once and shows 12k miles, and the previous owner has added 21k miles during 30 years of ownership.
The 454ci LS4 V8 was rebuilt in 1995 with new rings, bearings, seals, and more. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission. Recent service in preparation for the sale included new plugs and wires, fluids and oils, new parking brake cable, new calliper, new leaf spring bushing, master cylinder, a fuel tank flush, a new carburetor inlet filter, and the installation of the rebuilt carburetor. The distributor was replaced with a capacitor discharge ignition system.
The owner’s manual, factory literature, spare parts, and service records dating back to 1989 are included in the sale. Photos and documents from the refurbishment are included in the sale and viewable in the gallery above.
